Bone reconstruction –
one of our core
competencies.

Even in cases of insufficient bone substance, we find the right way to provide you with sturdy teeth. We specialize in the reconstruction of missing bone and offer you all the possibilities of modern "augmentation techniques" for restoration. In doing so, we rely on gentle therapy options that are performed precisely and professionally.

Bone reconstruction for a stable jaw –
In Zug, we know what we're doing.

Lack of jawbone affects many patients. Causes of bone loss can include inflammation of the tooth-supporting apparatus (periodontitis) or missing, unreplaced teeth. When the jawbone has significantly shrunk, dental implants cannot be securely anchored. In these cases, bone-building measures can help. Significant progress has been made in modern jaw surgery in recent years. Bone reconstruction is now performed with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.

Surgical bone reconstruction:
gentle and effective.

Bone-building measures are carried out in our practice. The dentists of TEAM 15 are experienced, skilled, and gentle in their approach. We prepare the bone in such a way that dental implants can subsequently find a solid foundation. Bone grafting can involve the use of autologous bone (from the patient's own body) or biological bone substitute materials (often of animal origin). Through the body's natural remodeling process, stable bone tissue is formed. In cases of significant defects, bone block grafts (using autologous bone or donor bone) may be a sensible option. In this minimally invasive procedure, an individually designed bone block is placed on the defect and secured with small screws. Common bone-building measures include:

  • GBR (Guided Bone Regeneration with Collagen Membranes)
  • Autologous bone graft (autologous bone, shell technique, bone block)
  • Sinus lift (sinus floor elevation)
  • Bone splitting (jawbone splitting) & bone spreading (jawbone spreading)

All described measures lead to a secure foundation for dental implants.

We create the basis for secure tooth replacement.

Loose implant due to peri-implantitis
(inflammation around the dental implant).

If bone loss or implant loosening has occurred due to prolonged peri-implantitis, we can help. After a thorough and effective treatment of peri-implantitis, we rebuild lost bone using bone substitute materials. Typically, biological or fully synthetic bone substitute materials are used. During the healing phase, a solid bone substance forms through the body's natural remodeling process. The goal is to rebuild the bone lost due to inflammation around the implant. In many situations, this can clinically resolve the implant-related inflammation.
