Well taken care of – with age-appropriate therapeutic concepts.
We look after your teeth at every age and help you maintain long-term oral health.
For our dentists, geriatric dentistry is a responsible field. It involves not only considering teeth, oral mucosa, dentures, temporomandibular joints, etc., but also taking into account organic diseases and physical limitations during any treatments. With our internal medical expertise, we can assess physical illnesses and the associated medication intake in relation to dental procedures. If necessary and with the patient's consent, we may contact your primary care physician.
We want to offer you the optimal therapy, which is why it is important to have sufficient knowledge about pre-existing conditions and medication use. The medical history and initial consultation in our dental practice in Zug are conducted in great detail. Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, dementia, osteoporosis, gout, osteoarthritis... may not seem directly related to teeth at first glance. However, such pre-existing conditions should be taken into account during dental treatments, and the therapy will be adjusted accordingly.
The focus of geriatric dentistry is on teeth and gums, dental prosthetics, dental fillings, dental implants, periodontitis, and dental hygiene. The temporomandibular joints are also included in the examinations. We prioritize a holistic approach to the patient.
